We are working to learn more information about a plane crash at the LaFayette Airport this afternoon. According to LaFayette Public Safety Director Stacey Meeks 2 people were on board the aircraft and neither survived. Early reports indicate it may have been a Cirrus SR22 that crashed while landing at Barwick–LaFayette Airport in Georgia around 2:30 pm local time on Thursday, March 20. The NTSB is in charge of the investigation and will provide further updates. We will continue to share them as updates are available to us.
