Even with Governor Kemp requesting people to refrain from outdoor burning, Georgia Department of Natural Resources is conducting a large prescribed burn off of Pocket Loop near Rock Town on Pigeon Mountain. There is a large presence of smoke on the west side of the county. Walker County Fire is aware of the situation.
