Channing Wilson announced on Facebook Wednesday that he is appearing on CBS TV’s “The Road” this fall. Wilson’s post says he is one of 12 contestants on the show. According to CBS, the show is produced by Taylor Sheridan and the team behind “Yellowstone” and “Landman”. County music stars Blake Shelton and Keith Urban are also listed as Executive Producers. “The Road” provides a backstage pass into the gritty and unforgiving life of a touring artist. The show will feature exclusive access to teh inner workings of the music industry as it follows some of the best up-and-coming musicians as they pile into a tour bus and hit the road in pursuit of their dreams. The show will air Sunday at 9pm. The date of the series debut has yet to be released.
WIlson has written songs for several artists including a number one hit for Luke Combs as well as songs for Riley Green, Travis Tritt, The Oak Ridge Boys and others.
