LaFayette, GA (July 8, 2025) — Authorities are searching for a suspect following an armed robbery at Steve’s Quick Stop on Broomtown Road Tuesday night.
According to the Walker County Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred at approximately 9:05 p.m. when a Black male entered the convenience store and robbed the clerk at gunpoint, fleeing the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect was last seen running north on Broomtown Road toward downtown LaFayette.
The suspect is described as approximately 6 feet tall and between 35 to 40 years of age. Surveillance photos of the individual have been released to aid in identification.

Authorities are urging the public not to approach the suspect, as he may be armed and dangerous.
