LaFayette Fire and Rescue Releases Mid-Year Call Totals

The City of LaFayette has released its fire and emergency response statistics for the first half of 2025, highlighting the volume and variety of calls handled by LaFayette Fire and Rescue.

From January through June, the department responded to a total of 907 calls. Medical emergencies made up the majority, with 508 calls. Crews also responded to 11 structure fires, 40 fire alarms, and 29 vehicle accidents.

Officials report that the department maintained an average response time of just over five minutes, reflecting continued efforts to provide prompt emergency services.

In addition to emergency responses, LaFayette firefighters dedicated more than 1,600 hours to training during the first six months of the year, ensuring personnel remain prepared for a wide range of situations.
