The Walker County Sheriff’s Office has announced a change in its inmate communication services. Effective September 1, 2025, the jail will transition to a new provider, NCIC Inmate Communications, for telephone services.
Friends and family members of incarcerated individuals are encouraged to prepare for the change by setting up an account with NCIC. The switch will impact all inmate phone calls at the Walker County Jail.
The Sheriff’s Office advises those who regularly communicate with inmates to visit www.ncic.com or contact NCIC directly for more information on creating an account and using the new system.
The change aims to improve the reliability and accessibility of communication between inmates and their loved ones.
