Drivers in both Catoosa and neighboring Walker County should plan for detours next week as Twin Cedars Road will be closed to through traffic from Tuesday, September 9 through Friday, September 12.
According to Catoosa County Government, the closure will take place daily from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. to allow Public Works crews to complete stormwater system improvements in the area.
The road will be closed to through traffic between Long Hollow Road and Smith Liner Road. A posted detour will direct drivers to use Smith Liner Road to Red Belt Road.
Officials encourage drivers to plan ahead, allow extra travel time, and follow all posted signs for the duration of the project.
