Walker County tenth graders recently participated in the “Your Choices Matter” experience, joining students from Dade and Catoosa Counties in a four-day program centered on making safe and informed decisions.
Nearly 1,000 students took part in the event, which used interactive scenarios to help teens understand how everyday choices can impact their futures. Through guided activities, participants were encouraged to think critically about real-life situations and explore the long-term effects of their actions.
The program was coordinated with the support of community organizations, school systems, and volunteers, including key partners such as Dade First Family Connections. Their combined efforts created an engaging environment that allowed students to learn in a hands-on, impactful way.
For Walker County students, the initiative served as a valuable opportunity to gain insight into responsible decision-making and strengthen their awareness of the choices they face during their high school years and beyond.
