Chairwoman Teems to Host Live Q&A on 2026 SPLOST Today

SHARE NOW

Walker County residents will have an opportunity today to learn more about the proposed 2026 Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (SPLOST) directly from county leadership.

Chairwoman Angie Teems will go live on the county’s official Facebook page at 4:00 p.m. today to discuss the 2026 SPLOST and answer questions from the community. The interactive session will provide insight into how SPLOST funds are used and what projects may be included in the upcoming proposal.

Residents are encouraged to submit their questions in advance by visiting walkercountyga.gov/feedback. Questions may also be asked during the live broadcast.

The SPLOST program allows local governments to fund capital projects through a voter-approved one-percent sales tax, helping pay for improvements to infrastructure, public safety, recreation, and other community needs without raising property taxes.
