Students from six area high schools attended alongside their Health Occupations instructors. Invited to share ideas on how to encourage more student donors now and in the years ahead, the students offered thoughtful feedback, creative strategies, and firsthand perspectives on what resonates with their peers.

Board members noted that the students conducted themselves with poise, maturity, and a genuine commitment to community service.

Represented schools and students included:

  • Ringgold High School – Sarah Fowler

  • Heritage High School – Tori Epps

  • Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe High School – Caitlin Tipton

  • LaFayette High School – Aiden Arthur

  • Ridgeland High School – Jenna Wimpee and Jocelyn Putman

High school participation remains critical to sustaining the region’s blood supply. According to Blood Assurance, one-third of all blood donations in the North Georgia area originate from high school students.

Board members expressed deep appreciation for the students’ contributions and optimism about the future. “Our future is in great hands with students like these,” the organization noted.
