All City of LaFayette Recreation facilities, including the LaFayette Golf Course, will be closed on Saturday, January 24, following an upgraded Ice Storm Warning issued by the National Weather Service.
City officials say forecasts continue to present multiple possible scenarios, prompting the decision to close facilities as a precautionary measure. The closure allows city staff to plan ahead while helping reduce unnecessary travel as weather conditions develop.
In addition, all youth basketball games scheduled for Saturday have been canceled. Coaches have been notified of the cancellations.
