Walker County Government Offices to Be Closed Monday Due to Winter Weather

WALKER COUNTY, Ga. — Walker County Government officials have announced that all county offices will be closed on Monday, January 26, due to the threat of hazardous travel conditions and dangerously cold temperatures.

The closure includes all Walker County Government offices, as well as the county landfill and public transit services.

In addition, the Walker County Health Department will also be closed on Monday.

Officials say the decision was made out of an abundance of caution to protect the safety of employees and the public as winter weather continues to impact the region.
