Ramblers Top Ringgold Behind Strong Pitching Performance

SHARE NOW

The Ramblers picked up an impressive win over Ringgold, powered by a dominant outing on the mound and timely hitting at the plate.

Austin Dearing went the distance, pitching seven innings while striking out 11 batters and allowing no earned runs. His command kept the Tigers off balance throughout the game and set the tone early.

Offensively, Hagen English delivered in a key moment, driving in a run with a clutch RBI single in the fifth inning to help secure the victory.

The Ramblers’ defense also played a pivotal role. Luke Hopkins and Andrew Huggins turned in standout performances in the field, making key plays to keep Ringgold’s hitters in check.

The varsity squad returns to action Thursday, hosting LFO at 5:30 p.m.

However, the junior varsity matchup has been canceled and rescheduled for Monday, March 9, at 5:30 p.m. at LHS due to LFO having several players out sick or still participating in basketball.

Middle school recognition festivities are scheduled to begin Thursday at 5:15 p.m., prior to the varsity first pitch.
