According to the Tennessee Department of Transportation, the crash occurred around 10:15 a.m. near mile marker 172.4. As of 11:20 a.m., the westbound left lane remains closed, with only one lane open to traffic.
Congestion has backed up into downtown Chattanooga as crews work at the scene.
