y

Strong winds moving through the Tri-State area overnight brought down several trees and power lines, leading to scattered power outages across northwest Georgia.

Walker County, about 116 customers were reported without power.

Utility officials say many of the outages were caused by trees and large limbs falling onto power lines during the storms.

Power crews are currently working in the affected areas to restore service as quickly and safely as possible.

Drivers are encouraged to use caution while traveling this morning, as crews may be working along roadways and some debris could still be present following the storms.

Residents are also urged to stay weather aware as conditions continue to change across the region.
