Walker County Schools on Two-Hour Delay Due to Road Conditions
WALKER COUNTY, GA — Walker County Schools will operate on a two-hour delay tomorrow due to current road conditions and the potential for black ice.
School officials say many back roads remain impacted, and with temperatures expected to drop this evening, conditions could worsen overnight.
The delay is being implemented out of caution to allow additional time for road conditions to improve.
Students and staff should report two hours later than their normal start time.
Drivers are encouraged to use caution during the morning commute, especially on secondary and rural roads where black ice may be present.
