High School Sports Round Up: Tennis Heads to Post Season, Fishing Scores Big

LaFayette High School athletics will be well represented this week as postseason play and strong finishes on the water highlight Rambler competition.

The Rambler boys tennis team is set to travel to Southeast Bulloch on Tuesday for first-round action, while the girls team will hit the road Wednesday to face Cairo in their opening-round matchup.

Meanwhile, the LaFayette fishing team delivered an impressive performance over the weekend at Lake Weiss. The duo of Collin Miller and AJ Moyer brought home a first-place finish with a total catch of 8.91 pounds. Andrew Paden and Ben Paseur followed closely behind, securing second place with 5.46 pounds.

Moyer also earned top individual honors, landing the tournament’s Big Fish with a 3.99-pound bass.

Additional strong finishes included Maiz Wallin and Drew Harris in eighth place, and Alex Blas Gonzalez in 10th overall.

Other anglers representing Rambler Nation included Lucy Losh, Maddox Green, Max Bradford, Mike Hardinger, Braden Edgeman and Lucas Dale.
