A movie production returning to Walker County this fall is looking for local children to appear as extras.
“The Farmer & the Belle 2” is scheduled to film scenes in Walker County as production gets underway on the sequel to “The Farmer & the Belle: Saving Santaland,” which was filmed in the county in 2019.
The sequel continues the story of a New York City fashion model who falls in love with her childhood friend, a farmer. Now married, the couple compete in their own unique ways as they work to save a historic farm camp.
Producers are currently seeking extras for a scene scheduled to be filmed Saturday, October 3, at Camp New Dawn.
Children between the ages of 5 and 16 are needed, with the greatest need for children ages 5 to 11. The production is seeking children of all ethnicities. Hair and makeup should have a natural appearance, and participants should not have facial tattoos.
Because the scene is set in the 1980s, selected extras will need to wear 1980s-style clothing featuring spring and pastel colors. Additional wardrobe instructions will be provided to those selected.
Call time is scheduled for 8 a.m. Extras should be available until 5 p.m., although production officials expect the scene could wrap several hours earlier.
Parents or guardians interested in having their children considered can submit information to the production, including a current photograph and details about the child’s comfort level working around animals.
