Incoming skill clinic! The Outpost is offering an intro. to top rope climbing & belaying clinic on Monday, November 9th from 4:30pm – 6:30pm. Want to “learn the ropes”, get an overall refresher, or branch out from the auto belays at Traverse Park to unlock access to the full wall? This is for you.
We will cover overall climbing safety, knots, belay mechanics, and the fundamentals of simple anchor building and setting your own ropes. No experience or perquisites required!
$20/person; must be 14 years of age or older. Limited spots! Participants will be eligible to take a proficiency test to become eligible for renting all needed equipment to set your own top ropes at Traverse Park – ropes, harnesses, belay devices, carabiners, etc.
