Walker County Chairwoman Angie Teems is set to engage with local residents through a series of five upcoming town hall meetings, aiming to foster open dialogue under the theme, “Common Sense Is Our Common Ground.”
Rather than focusing on predetermined topics, Teems emphasized that these meetings will serve as an open forum for community members to voice the issues that matter most to them. “I want to provide an open forum to hear from the community about the issues important to them and how the county can be part of enhancing their quality of life,” she said.
The meetings will take place at various community locations across the county, all beginning at 6:00 p.m., on the following dates:
Tuesday, June 17 — Cedar Grove Community Center, 5395 W Cove Road, Chickamauga
Tuesday, June 24 — Walker County Civic Center, 10052 Highway 27, Rock Spring
Tuesday, July 15 — Rossville Community Center, 301 Williams Street, Rossville
Tuesday, July 22 — Board of Commissioners Building, 101 S Duke Street, LaFayette
Date To Be Announced — Center Post Community Center, 8125 Highway 337, LaFayette
Residents are encouraged to attend and participate in shaping the future of Walker County through these conversations.
