A heads-up for Catoosa County drivers— A major stormwater improvement project is now underway along Swanson Road, near the Hurricane Heights subdivision. Catoosa County officials say crews, equipment, and flaggers will be active throughout the week at the bottom of the ridge, causing potential delays for those traveling between Graysville and the Ooltewah-Ringgold Road area. Motorists are urged to slow down and use extra caution when passing through the work zone. Again, that’s stormwater construction on Swanson Road this week—expect delays and drive carefully.
Residents and business owners in Walker County, as well as Catoosa and Whitfield Counties, are reminded that federal disaster assistance remains available following the severe storms and flooding of August 12, 2025.
