The Chickamauga City Council will hold a public hearing this Friday evening on several proposed ordinances.
The hearing is set for 6 p.m. at 1817 Lee Clarkson Road. One proposal would update the city’s alcohol regulations — including new license types for pubs and cigar lounges, allowing humidors in package stores, and clarifying distance requirements.
Another ordinance would create the Crystal Springs Special Service and Taxing District, allowing the city to levy a special millage or service charge in that area. A third proposal would set rules for political campaign access to multi-family and gated residential communities. The public is invited to attend and provide comments.
