A man who drowned over the weekend in Chickamauga Reservoir has now been identified. Authorities say 51-year-old Randall Bradley of Rock Spring went under Saturday afternoon while trying to retrieve part of a swim platform that had come loose from a moving boat near Dogwood Drive. Bradley was not wearing a life jacket and did not resurface. Emergency crews from the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency and the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office searched for hours using sonar and a remote-operated vehicle. His body was recovered around 8:30 that evening, in about 15 to 18 feet of water. Bradley’s death is the 16th boating-related fatality in Tennessee so far this year. The investigation is still ongoing.
