ROCK SPRING, Ga. (Oct. 29, 2025, — Emergency personnel responded to Saddle Ridge Elementary Wednesday after a report that a student was experiencing a rapid heart rate and difficulty breathing, according to initial accounts provided to DiscoverWalker.com

Posts circulating on social media claim as many as seven students may have gotten sick after ingesting “gummy bears,” with some reportedly transported to area hospitals. At this time, those figures and the cause have not been confirmed by officials.

As of publication, no press release or official statement has been issued by Walker County Schools or local law enforcement/EMS regarding the number of students affected, the source of the medical issues, or patient conditions.
