ROCK SPRING, GA — A church in Rock Spring is making a big impact. What was once an underused prayer room at Rock Spring Methodist Church has been transformed into Salvation Station—a 24/7 outreach ministry that provides both physical and spiritual nourishment to the community.
The initiative was born out of necessity and compassion. While the church has long supported local students through its “sack-pack” program—providing supplemental weekend meals for over 140 children at Rock Spring Elementary—leaders recognized a deeper, year-round need throughout the wider community.
Outdoor blessing boxes are great, but in extreme heat or cold, it’s tough to maintain them safely. They realized they already had the perfect space- their always-open prayer room. Why not meet both needs in one place?”
The repurposed room is stocked with non-perishable food items and prayers. There’s no red tape, no judgment—just a quiet, welcoming space where anyone can take what they need at any time of day or night.
For those wishing to donate, the church accepts shelf-stable food items and hygiene products at their main office or directly in the Station. Rock Spring Methodist Church continues to maintain the space, ensuring that the light—and the love—never goes out.
