Advance voting is now underway for key municipal elections in Chickamauga, LaFayette, and Rossville, as well as for a county-wide referendum on the proposed 2026 Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (SPLOST).
Early voting began Monday and will continue through Thursday, October 31. Polls are open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. each weekday. Saturday voting will also be available on October 18 and October 25 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

In addition to selecting municipal leaders, voters across Walker County will weigh in on the proposed 2026 SPLOST, a one-cent sales tax designed to fund capital improvement projects across the county and its municipalities.
