Ringgold, GA— A Catoosa County man has been sentenced to 10 years in prison and 30 years of sex offender probation after being convicted of soliciting a minor online and distributing child pornography.
James Myers, 52, was found guilty on all four counts of a March 2025 indictment following a two-day trial. Prosecutors said Myers believed he was speaking with an 11-year-old girl named “Emily” on Facebook, but the profile was part of a sting operation by the Texas-based group Predator Poachers.
Myers sent graphic messages, arranged a meeting, and admitted on camera to distributing child pornography via Telegram and accessing illegal material on the dark web. The footage and chat logs were turned over to the Catoosa County Sheriff’s Office, which found incriminating evidence on Myers’ phone.
District Attorney Clayton Fuller praised the work of law enforcement and the citizen group, saying, “There are lines you better never cross with me — and wanting to destroy the innocence of our children is one of them.”
