Channing Wilson will move on to the Semifinals of The Road, emerging as one of the final four contestants after a high-stakes double elimination on Sunday night’s episode. The December 7 show brought the Top 6 to Memphis, Tennessee — the final tour stop before the bus heads to Nashville, where the semifinals await.

After last week’s surprise non-elimination, pressure was higher than ever as the six remaining artists performed both a cover and an original song. With Blake Shelton still on tour, Karen Fairchild joined Keith Urban to judge the competition and help determine which two singers would be sent home following the audience rankings.

Wilson opened his set with a nod to Memphis, delivering a strong cover of Elvis Presley’s “Promised Land.” Judges praised the performance, with Fairchild calling his style “very cool.” He followed with his original song “Southern Man,” a track he previously wrote for Travis Tritt. Wilson’s rich vocal tone and confident stage presence drew more praise, helping secure his place among the top four.

Cassidy Daniels continued her season-long momentum with “Son of a Preacher Man” and her original “Nobody’s Fool,” while Adam Sanders powered through back pain to deliver two crowd-moving performances. Britnee Kellogg also advanced after winning over the audience with a last-minute cover choice and her original “Hell in a Handbag.”

The bottom three — Cody Hibbard, Billie Jo Jones, and Kellogg — faced elimination, with Hibbard going home based on audience ratings. Judges then selected Billie Jo Jones as the second artist to leave the competition.

The four contestants advancing to Nashville for the semifinals are Channing Wilson, Adam Sanders, Cassidy Daniels, and Britnee Kellogg.

The Road airs Sundays at 9 p.m. on CBS.
