Earlier today CHI Memorial marked a milestone in the construction of its new Northwest Georgia hospital. A “Topping Out” ceremony commemorated the moment when the final beam was placed on top of the new hospital. The state of the art facility is located on Battlefield Parkway and is scheduled to open sometime in December of this year. The new hospital will have 64 inpatient beds, an intensive care unit, full-serve emergency department, 5 operating rooms, 2 endoscopy suites, imaging services, as well as non-invasive cardiac imaging and a lab.
