The Chickamauga City Council will meet Thursday, at 6 p.m. at Chickamauga City Hall to consider several items, including a water quality engineering agreement, street resurfacing projects, board appointments and a proposed annexation request.
Among the key items on the agenda is an agreement with InSPI Engineering LLC for professional engineering services related to PFAS reduction alternatives for Well No. 2 through a pilot study. The agreement is part of the city’s ongoing efforts to address water quality and infrastructure concerns.
Council members are also expected to discuss a citywide cleanup event scheduled for April 12 at 13th and Watson Veterans Memorial Park, along with traffic control matters and a proposed property maintenance ordinance.
Additional business includes resurfacing projects on Wilder Street, Longwood Street and Kingston Street, as well as appointments and reappointments to several local boards and authorities, including the Walker County Development Authority and the Planning and Zoning Board.
The council will also consider filling the unexpired term of a city council member and review a request from Steven Wallis regarding Lot 2 of the Peak Steel property for a proposed duplex.
Another item on the agenda involves a request to annex county property on Grand Center Road into the Chickamauga city limits.
An executive session is scheduled to discuss personnel matters in accordance with Georgia law.
The meeting is open to the public.
