Chickamauga Mayor Resigns Effective Immediately
CHICKAMAUGA, GA — The City of Chickamauga has announced that Mayor Trey Deck has resigned, effective immediately.
In a joint statement released March 20, 2026, city officials said the decision was made out of concern for the community.
The statement noted that both the City and Deck expressed their hopes for the future, emphasizing a desire for healing and moving forward following what was described as a difficult situation.
Officials say they are focused on continuing operations and supporting the citizens of Chickamauga during the transition.
