Chickamauga to Decide School Board and City Council on November 4th

The City of Chickamauga will hold its municipal general and special elections on Tuesday, November 4, 2025. Voting will take place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Chickamauga Civic Center, located at 1817 Lee Clarkson Road.

Voters will decide on three seats for the Chickamauga City Council and three seats on the Chickamauga School Board. In addition, a special election will be held to fill the unexpired term of School Board Member Grant Parrish, which runs through December 31, 2027.

Candidate qualifying will be held at Chickamauga City Hall, 103 Crittenden Avenue, from Monday, August 18 through Wednesday, August 20. Hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with a lunch break from 1 to 2 p.m. Qualifying fees are $64 for council seats and $18 for school board positions.

Early voting will run from October 14 through October 31 at the Chickamauga Civic Center, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with Saturday voting on October 18 and 25 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The deadline to register to vote is Monday, October 6, and absentee ballot requests must be made by October 24 by contacting the Walker County Board of Elections at 706-638-4349.
