City Employees Celebrate Jan Shattuck’s Retirement After 22 Years of Service

LaFayette, GA – City workers gathered Friday to celebrate the upcoming retirement of longtime employee Jan Shattuck, who is stepping down after more than 22 years of dedicated service.

Shattuck has held various roles throughout her career with the city, most recently serving in the administration department at City Hall. Known for her steady presence, reliability, and warm support, she has become a familiar and valued face to both coworkers and community members alike.

“Jan’s contributions to our city have been immeasurable,” said a colleague during the celebration. “She’s been a consistent source of support, and her commitment to public service has made a lasting impact on all of us.”

As she prepares to enter retirement, city leaders and staff offered their heartfelt thanks and well wishes for her next chapter.
