LaFayette, GA — The City of LaFayette continues to make strides in community improvement, thanks to the dedication and skill of its in-house team. Most recently, the city’s Public Works Shop designed and built a brand-new walking bridge for the Greenway Park, which was installed last week.

The project highlights the expertise and efficiency of LaFayette’s workforce, whose contributions have played a vital role in the city’s ongoing revitalization efforts. By combining in-house labor with subcontracted work, the City of LaFayette ensures that projects are completed efficiently, cost-effectively, and on schedule.

“Our in-house team has been a major key to LaFayette’s revitalization success,” city officials shared. “They both oversee and directly contribute to city improvement projects, making the most of every resource.”

The Greenway Park bridge is also an example of the City’s commitment to smart financial planning. For this project, every $1 in SPLOST funds leveraged an additional $10 in federal funding — a powerful reminder of how one cent of every dollar spent in Walker County can bring visible, lasting improvements to the community.

With more projects on the horizon, LaFayette’s leadership says they remain focused on turning big dreams into reality — one efficient, well-planned project at a time.
