The community is preparing to say goodbye to two teens killed in a tragic crash on Highway 27 last week. A celebration of life for 16-year-old Brennon Beavers will be held tonight in the LaFayette High School Gym at 7:00 PM. Doors open at 5:30 PM. The family requests donations be made to the Brennon Shawn Beavers Memorial Fund for scholarships in his honor. A visitation for 19-year-old Cassiddy Mitchell will take place tomorrow, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home, with a second visitation on Saturday from 2:00 to 4:00 PM, followed by the funeral at 4:00. The Georgia State Patrol says both teens died after a collision on Highway 27. Mitchell’s brother was also involved and remains in critical condition. The investigation is ongoing. Our thoughts and our prayers remain with both families.
