A dramatic incident in Catoosa County involving the arrest of a man now in federal custody has sparked significant public attention after a bystander’s intervention led to their own arrest. The event, recorded and shared widely on social media, has drawn thousands of views.

The situation began when a Georgia State Patrol trooper stopped Obrey Jiminez, who was driving a white van. According to police reports, the trooper struggled with Jiminez prior to the arrival of Ringgold Police officers.

Jiminez was subsequently arrested on charges of driving without a license and obstruction. During the arrest, a woman identified as Jade Michalski intervened, questioning officers about whether Jiminez was receiving medical treatment.

Dispatch recordings reveal attempts to summon an ambulance, but officials were informed that none were available. According to the police report, Michalski stepped in front of the patrol vehicle while officers prepared to transport Jiminez to jail for medical evaluation instead. Video footage shows Michalski refusing to move before being detained by officers.

Following the incident, Jiminez was transferred to federal authorities and is currently in the custody of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

Michalski now faces charges including disorderly conduct and obstructing law enforcement officers. Authorities continue to review details surrounding the initial traffic stop and altercation involving Jiminez.
