SHARE NOW

Early voting begins Monday, July 7, for the Democratic Special Primary Run-Off Election for Georgia’s Public Service Commission. Walker County voters will have the opportunity to cast ballots through Friday, July 11, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Elections and Registration Office inside the Walker County Courthouse.

The run-off election will be held Tuesday, July 15.

Due to low turnout in the June Democratic primary—fewer than 1% of registered voters in Walker County participated—only one polling location will be open on Election Day. In accordance with O.C.G.A. § 21-2-270(3), voting will take place at:

LaFayette Senior Center
636 S. Main St.
LaFayette, GA 30728

This location corresponds to the precinct that includes the county courthouse, as required by state law.

The Public Service Commission regulates utilities such as electricity and natural gas across the state, making decisions that impact energy rates and infrastructure. The winner of the Democratic run-off will advance to the general election later this year.
