GEORGIA FORESTRY COMMISSION
WILDFIRE DANGER

High temperatures and low rainfall have increased the risk of wildfire in Georgia. The
Georgia Forestry Commission is urging everyone to use extreme caution when
conducting any kind of outdoor burning. Fireworks, camp fires, barbecue grills, even hot
machinery on dry grass can spark a fire instantly. Always have water, a shovel, and a
cell phone on hand, and never be reluctant to call 9-1-1. Remember what Smokey Bear
says…Only YOU can prevent wildfires!
