Atlanta, GA — Georgia State Senator Colton Moore is facing a financial penalty following the outcome of a recent ethics investigation conducted by the Georgia Government Transparency and Campaign Finance Commission.

Moore, who represents Northwest Georgia including Walker County, has agreed to pay a $500 fine for failing to comply with state ethics regulations. According to the Commission, Moore did not submit required personal financial disclosures for the years 2022 and 2023 and also missed a campaign finance report due in January 2025.

The violations were identified as part of a broader audit into the financial reporting of multiple lawmakers. Moore signed a consent order last week acknowledging the infractions.

While no further disciplinary action is anticipated, the Commission emphasized that it will continue reviewing disclosures and reports to ensure full compliance from all elected officials across the state.
