Classic Film Night Set for Saturday at LaFayette’s Historic Mars Theater
Downtown LaFayette is inviting the community to enjoy a night out this weekend with a classic film showing at the historic Mars Theater.
A special screening of Top Gun will take place Saturday, March 7, beginning at 7:30 p.m. Doors will open at 6:45 p.m.
Organizers encourage moviegoers to make an evening of the event by enjoying dinner at one of downtown LaFayette’s local restaurants before heading to the theater. Traditional movie concessions, including popcorn, candy, and drinks, will also be available.
Tickets are $10 and can be purchased online at historicmars.com. Proceeds from the event support programming and operations at the Mars Theater, which is operated by Downtown LaFayette as part of its ongoing effort to provide regular entertainment and community events in the downtown district.
In addition to the movie night, tickets are also on sale for a live concert scheduled for Saturday, March 14 at 7:30 p.m. The performance will feature local musician Randall Farrell and will include a mix of pop, bluegrass, country, and original music.
