Chattooga County Coroner Jeremy McElhaney has identified the two victims killed in an October 5 structure fire in the Ridgeway community near Trion. The victims were 32-year-old Natalie Cropper and her 2-year-old daughter, Theory Williams.
The early-morning fire was reported before dawn, and emergency crews arrived to find the structure heavily damaged. McElhaney confirmed one fatality at 5:23 a.m., but additional details were withheld at the time as firefighters and investigators worked the scene.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation, and officials say more information will be released once findings are complete.
