
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — Mark your calendars—on Sunday, May 18, the IRONMAN 70.3 Chattanooga returns for its 10th year, drawing elite athletes and enthusiastic spectators alike to the Scenic City and across state lines into beautiful Walker County, GA.
The grueling triathlon begins with a 1.4-mile swim down the Tennessee River, followed by a picturesque 56-mile bike ride winding through the rolling hills of north Georgia. Cyclists will ride past sweeping views along Lookout Mountain and through historic Chickamauga, before transitioning into the final leg—a challenging half-marathon.
Organizers are encouraging local residents to come out and support the competitors. Whether you’re cheering from the riverbanks or picturesque roadsides, your energy plays a big role in driving these athletes forward.
