Walker County Animal Control and the LaFayette Police Department are asking for the public’s help in locating the owner of a pig found wandering near Highway 27 and Grant Street, close to the post office in LaFayette.
The pig was safely picked up and is currently being housed at the Walker County Animal Shelter. Officials have placed the animal on a stray hold through August 8 to allow time for the owner to come forward.
Animal control staff are encouraging anyone who recognizes the pig or may have information about its owner to contact the Walker County Animal Shelter as soon as possible.
