LaFayette City Council to Consider SPLOST Agreement in Special Called Meeting

SHARE NOW

The LaFayette City Council will hold a special called meeting on Wednesday, August 27, at 5 p.m., with the proposed SPLOST Intergovernmental Agreement topping the agenda.

The agreement is a key step in allowing the city to participate in the next round of the Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (SPLOST), which funds capital projects through a voter-approved one-cent sales tax. If approved, the agreement would formalize how LaFayette and Walker County share SPLOST proceeds and outline the projects to be funded.

The meeting will take place at LaFayette City Hall and is open to the public.
