LaFayette City Council to Hold Public Hearing and Regular Meeting Monday

The City of LaFayette Mayor and Council will meet Monday, September 8, 2025, beginning with a public hearing on the proposed millage rate at 6:15 p.m., followed by the regularly scheduled council meeting at 6:30 p.m.

The agenda includes several new business items such as adoption of the 2025 millage rate, discussion of the upcoming budget, and infrastructure improvements at Greenway Park, including a new playground and bathroom facilities. Council will also consider road closures for upcoming markets, concrete leveling at the golf course, and a Safe Streets planning grant agreement. An audit review is also scheduled.

Comments will be heard from council members, city staff, and the mayor. An executive session will be held to discuss real estate, litigation, and personnel matters.

The meeting is open to the public and will take place at City Hall.
