The LaFayette High School cross-country team turned in a strong showing this past Saturday at a highly competitive meet hosted by Heritage High School, which featured 28 high school teams from the region.
In the boys’ division, the Ramblers earned an impressive 8th-place team finish out of the 28 competing schools. Senior Elijah Decker led the way for LaFayette with a standout performance, finishing 9th overall in a fast-paced race. Teammates Peyton Lands and Levi Collins also delivered solid efforts, contributing to the team’s top-10 finish.
On the girls’ side, Maggie Thompson paced the Lady Ramblers, crossing the line in 25th place overall. Lilly Owen and Megan Shirley also turned in strong races, helping secure a competitive result for the team in a deep field.
The Ramblers will return to action on Monday, September 2, as they travel to Dalton for their next meet.
