LaFayette JV Softball Tops Ridgeland, 8–3

The LaFayette High School junior varsity softball team earned a strong 8–3 win over Ridgeland on Saturday, led by a dominant performance from pitcher Emory Beck.

Beck threw a complete game, allowing just one earned run and striking out nine Ridgeland batters to help seal the victory.

At the plate, Brilee Wilson led the offense, going 2-for-3 with two runs scored and one RBI. Bri Medrano and Brooklynn Myers also added to the attack, each collecting two hits on the day.

The JV team will close out their season at home Tuesday against Sonoraville. First pitch is scheduled for after the varsity game, which begins at 5:30 p.m.

Meanwhile, the varsity team is back in action tonight as they host Murray County at 5:30 for Senior Night. Senior recognitions will follow the game.
