LaFayette, GA — The LaFayette Middle School community is mourning the death of seventh grader Jeremiah Love, who passed away following a years-long battle with cancer.
Jeremiah, who had been courageously fighting the illness since 2020, died earlier this week. In a heartfelt post shared on social media, family members wrote that Jeremiah “is finally cancer-free this morning with Jesus,” reflecting the deep faith and love that surrounded him throughout his journey.
In the wake of his passing, LaFayette Middle School has announced that grief counselors and support staff will be on hand to assist students and faculty as they come to terms with the loss.
“Our hearts are with Jeremiah’s family, friends, and all those who knew and loved him,” school officials said in a statement.
