The LaFayette High School softball program had a big night on the diamond Tuesday, with both the varsity and junior varsity teams notching decisive wins over Adairsville.
The varsity squad turned in a strong all-around performance, defeating Adairsville 7–2. Addi Hogue was dominant in the circle, pitching five innings of one-hit ball with no walks and six strikeouts.
At the plate, Harley Perkins led the charge with a perfect 3-for-3 night, including a double. Emma House also delivered, going 2-for-4 with two RBIs and a run scored.
In the junior varsity matchup, the Lady Ramblers rolled to an 8–1 win. Rylen Stephenson allowed just one hit and no earned runs while striking out four and walking only one. She also helped her own cause with an RBI at the plate.
Brooklynn Myers sparked the JV offense, collecting two hits, an RBI, and scoring twice.
The varsity team will be back in action at home Thursday evening, once again facing Adairsville. First pitch is set for 5:55 p.m. The JV squad returns to the field Monday on the road against Ridgeland, following the varsity game.
