This Sunday night, Downtown LaFayette will come alive with music, community spirit, and a celebration of one of its own. Channing Wilson, is stepping into the national spotlight as he makes his television debut on The Road with Keith Urban and Blake Shelton, airing on CBS.
To mark the occasion, the city is throwing a community celebration filled with live performances, great food, and an outpouring of hometown pride. Festivities kick off at 7:00 p.m. in the Downtown Commons, beginning with a special performance by select members of the Rambler Marching Band.
Following that, a songwriters’ circle will feature local talents Luke and Levi Hopkins, Robby Hopkins, Laney Rayburn, and Mason Thompson, who will perform covers of Channing Wilson’s songs.
Then at 9:00 p.m., the crowd will gather to watch the premiere of The Road, where Wilson competes alongside 11 other artists in a journey guided by country music stars Keith Urban and Blake Shelton.
Attendees can expect plenty of great food, free giveaways, and a strong sense of community as LaFayette turns out to cheer on one of its own. Bring a chair, bring your friends, and watch Channing on the big screen.
